OMG Hackers!

I just want to warn you all if you have a yahoo email, ebay account and or a paypal account hackers are getting in purchase things on your dime! The night of the 11 of October I decided before going to bed that I should check my ebay account. I'm a seller and a buyer there. But haven't sold anything in about a month. For the last week I haven't been online really because I've been hooked a computer game you play offline. I know I need a life. It's a Sims game about life! . I know what a loser! So I haven't really been checking my emails or my paypal ect for a few days. I'm a person who checks my email everyday. Other accounts that's not in use not as often.



So on to my story. I was looking at my account and notice I had an extra feedback from someone. This was very odd because I haven't sold or bought anything in over a month. So I went to read this feedback and it said "Payment received with no problems. A++" I'm thinking WTF is going on I didn't buy anything ! (feedback is a comment buyer and sellers leave about each other when there is a transaction done between seller and buyer. Basically your feedback is your track record for other to determine if you can be trusted). So I went on to do something else. Then I started thinking I better check out what this person is talking about. So I checked out what they claim I bought. Let me tell yah I had and still have no idea what this person bought for 173.00 Canadian!

Something about a game site online. Then I checked out how I supposley paid for this and it said Paypal. Here I go once again saying WTF! So I go into my Paypal account and I see that over five thousand dollars have been taken out for a bunch of other auctions that have the same software! I'm a verified with Paypal with my bank account. I can make a purchase with Paypal instantly and they take funds out of my bank a few days later I've been doing this since 1999. Haven't had a problem ect. Well let me tell yah I was freaking out so bad first I couldn't believe that someone could be so bold to do this. (I know I was to confident and to trusting. I thought I was to secure with everything that I couldn't be hacked. As always I was wrong once again. So I called Paypal freaking out they helped me as much as they could. Told me to go to the bank and stop payment cause I notice it hadn't gone through my account yet. So all I could think of is this is my husband's main account his pay check was coming in the next morning and I knew that he would need money cause he was on the road (he's a trucker).

So I ran to the bank that morning and they had taken his whole pay check out to pay for the Paypal stuff. OMG I was losing it! Let me tell yah I'm so tired of crying and freaking out. The took close to seventeen hundred out of our joint account. We have the mortgage and other automatic payment coming out of that account at anytime. Doug the guy I dealt with was so understanding I was snotting and balling all over the place. My BF would speak for me at points because I became speechless.

So I cancelled that account so nothing else could go through. Open a new account but the bank could only retreive only thirteen hundred back. Had to run around changing all the automatic payments. Then I called Paypal they were nice but hadn't done a thing yet. So I went a head sent a few complaints got their attention. Then started getting the sellers writing me about contacting them about the purchase. So I wrote most of them and let them know the person they sold their item to wasn't even me. I got some reply back and they were pleasant some were upset cause they gave their item to them and paypal took the money back out of their accounts to replace some of the stolen funds out of my account. But the hacker still has their items. Then I contact ebay talk to them to let them know ect. Finally contacted my husband let him know he was upset but he handled it well. But is still upset that over four hundred dollars is still owed. But at least it not me he's mad at!

I though my god first my ebay account then my paypal. But I was checking out my emails at my yahoo account and decided to go to my sent fold and found that they were in my email account because they forgot that the sent fold has to be deleted. And they had sent information to the sellers acting like me. Let me tell yah I felt RAPED! Identity theft isn't right! So to make this really long story short PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!

I'm putting this little bit info in here so I don't forget! This is my date book too!
(Call the septic guy tuesday cause no they are not even half done again! He said he will finish this week. Well it's friday and nothing!!)


Anywho please everyone be very careful. Change your passwords as often as you can. If you can change your user name to do it! Don't be like me thinking I'm really careful nothing should happen to me. Funny in a way I am to blame to cause I have to stop trusting the Internet so much. When this happen I was going to give up the Internet ect. But I know I would miss everyone ect. So I'm still here better than ever and much much wiser about hackers. I figure he or she taught me a great lesson one I won't forget! This Thanks goes out to all those Hackers out there. Your teaching us how to protect ourselves better! Your the losers not us!
