Super hero I'm not mom!

Well I guess you can say I don't need stress in my life I've had enough of that to last me a life time. But I guess I needed to get my heart pumping to see I'm alive every once in a while! Well I'm not sure what I was trying to prove. Sometimes I don't think before I do things and my mother will be the first one to tell you so gawdddd. Here's my story:

My daughter, mother and I were coming out of the local grocery store talking away about stuff. We get to mom's van load our groceries in I'm just about to close the back door of the van when my daughter yells over to me " Mom, look I think that truck is rolling backwards. I glance over quickly and was just about to say she was seeing thing when I saw it start to roll slowly. I thought humm.... maybe it will stop on it's own. Then I look behind where the truck would head towards if it keep going. It would be near the MacDonald's parking lot near their drive Thur. Then I notice cars were starting to pull into the grocery store parking lot and they had to drive behind this rolling truck!

I look over to see who was driving in and I saw a older woman driving in slowly. Then I glance over at the white truck and the truck started to pick up speed because it was on a bit of a hill and it was heading down. I yelled out to my mother to go into the store to find out who owns the truck and get them outside as I ran to the back of the truck. Of course not thinking that this white truck would probably be heavy I got behind it and stop it from rolling.

All I keep thinking was all these innocent people driving in and if this sucker picks up speed as it was starting to do. It would cause some damage. So of course my little wee mother saw this and started to freak because I was behind the truck. And came running out before she even got to the store to find the owner. She keep saying "Cher what are you doing? You can get hurt doing that." I said " Mom just go get the person who owns the truck please the truck is easy to hold. Just get someone now!" My mother being my mother starts to freak out. " There is no way I'm going to leave you holding this truck it can roll on you. And you can get injured".

I told her " Mom I'm to big for this truck to roll on. Gawd stop it I'm OK."

And it went on like this as she was looking through this truck back for something to stop it from rolling. The doors where locked. She found a shovel and rammed it under the tired. It was still rolling so I got her to take it out and shove it under the other tire. While I was still holding on to the back of the truck to make sure it wasn't going to roll any further. In the mean time my mother was freaking at me about getting behind the truck still. I told her that I was OK so stop worrying. My only concern was that no one had gotten hurt. She got the girl in the store to page this guy.

Meanwhile, there were these young guys I'd say in their early 20's just watching me. You'd think these little asses would of came over to help me out nooooooooooooooo. They stood there watching and telling people as they were coming out the door about what was happening. Not one person came over to help. What the hell is wrong with this world?!




The guy that owned the truck came out the store and didn't even thank anyone. He got in his truck and the young guy that was with him said " Wait there's a shovel under the tire you can't go yet. So he took it out and they drove off like it nothing happened.

This surely pissed me off. But what was also pissing me off was my mother I know the woman loves me but sometimes she's got to lecture me about stuff and not stop. I know it was dangerous but if I didn't stop it what could of happened could of been worse. That's all I kept saying. I couldn't live with myself if something happened to someone because I didn't do something. My daughter was in total shock through out the whole thing. This made me laugh. All she kept saying was Mom what are you doing? Man sometime she can make me laugh just with uttering a few words and her facial expression. Lol

So we were heading back home when this thought came to my head I said to my daughter " Mel I guess I thought I was a superhero or something." Well this started my mother off on her rant about how I could of got hurt. So I repeated what I had said earlier and Then she called me love! I looked at her like she had two heads! What the hell she's never called me love before! I'm not sure what my mom's going through but I hope it ends soon cause she was starting to scare me. She kept on. Then I said "Mom, what happened if that guy didn't jump down and save that guy on the subway in New York or where ever it was. He didn't think twice yes it was dangerous but he saved a life. Sometimes we do things without thinking but you wanna know something I got that from you!! " Funny thing is she change the subject real quick!! lol

So that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I don't regret it at all. I know it was really stupid to do that but I feel better knowing that no one got hurt. The funny things is as we were pulling out my mom sees my granddad coming out of the store. He had just went in to get milk or something. So he ran in we talk to him for few then left. When I got home I was thankful that it was all done by the time he came out because with my grandfather's lucky lately it could of been him.

So Anywho I'm hanging up my cape for the time being. But if I'm in your neighbour hood and my mommy's not around I sure will come and help you out But if you see a blond lady with a pink cape on pulling a woman behind her "Yelling your going to hurt yourself!!" You got it it's me!! I'll just keep walking by until she's not looking!!! So this is Cherlee sighing off for now Much luv laters
